When I applied this approach to fitness, the pounds came off easily. While rehabilitating from my second spinal surgery, I stumbled on to something quite extraordinary. In October, 2006 I tipped the scales at a whopping 285 pounds. After some trial and error, I applied a little science and some good old common sense. By August 2007, I was a very lean 165 pounds.
